01029 is a concept playlist that traces a single evening through music, beginning at 10:29pm. The night opens in a concert hall, catching the tail end of a local recital of modern classical performances. From there, you drift through the city: in and out of clubs, in and out of Ubers, in and out of conversations and half-formed thoughts. Musically, 01029 follows that same arc, moving from modern classical to electronica, then settling into something more ambient and pensive. Alt-pop is threaded throughout, representing the songs that got stuck in your head earlier in the day, now resurfacing. 01029 is sequential, tracking one evening from start to finish, so it's meant to be listened to in order.
